According to a 2015 J.D. Power Status Index Report, which studies how customers rank hotels in a variety of categories. The ratings are determined on a 7-point scale, which covers overall satisfaction regarding check-in, check-out, amenities, food and beverage, facilities, cost and hotel services. In 2015, customer satisfaction has improved by 2 points. Most of the individuals surveyed seem to be happy that fees have dropped and more perks are given overall.

According to the study, some of the highest-ranking hotels include The Ritz Carlton, Hilton Garden Inn, Wyngate by Windom, Microtel Inn and Suites by Windham and Home 2 Suites by Hilton.
